Grumbling a bit about not be able to take them to the muggle dry cleaners, Airey set his hamper down and grabbed on the supplies he needed. Right....so he was supposed to fill one of these with water first, yeah? "Good day, Miss Johanson," he greeted before removing one of his ties from the hamper.
He would start with one of these. It was small. Not his favorite. Replaceable. UNLIKE his Carolina blue silk tie that was still missing. Nothing could replace his lucky tie.
Trying not to look too obvious, he peered at the Ravenclaw out of her peripheral vision to see how she was doing things. Oh...so it was THAT thing that they filled with water. Wand out, he pointed at it and cast a silent Aguamenti to fill it. Right....now he needed to use...what?
Yes. The man could practically build a rocket but he had never once done his own laundry. Quote:

They had to... hand wash all of their clothes?
What.
Even.
But was there anything he could do about it? Nope. Theo just had to wash his clothes because they were starting to make him seriously uncomfortable, to the point where he didn't even want to leave the dorms anymore. He started with his underwear, because for sanity reasons. He also wanted to get the underwear out of the way before everyone else turned up. Before Dora turned up.
He pulled out some of his white pairs and tossed them quickly in the basin. Theo filled it up with plenty (too much) detergent and fabric softener, and then cringed as he dipped his hands in it.
His eyes immediately looked over at Mika and Professor Flamsteed who were here, too....
.................
No looking at his undies! Quote:

Nigel knew you had to sort his clothes. So he took his colors and but them in a basin. He had no idea how much detergent to use. So he just put all of it in the basin and filled it with water.
He probably should have saved some for his whites. But he did want to see some bubbles. Oh, Wait. He forgot to add the softener. So while he was filling it with water he added the softener.
Once he had more than enough bubbles. He wanted to try this idea of bubble fight. So with Flamsteed's back to him. He used his wand to throw some bubbles at Theo. Seeing as he was the only other guy student here and having no idea what Theo was doing.
Nigel did not really want to do his laundry and was easily distracted.
Mika heard her name and turned to see Professor Flamsteed holding a tie in his hand. “Hello Professor Flamsteed,” she smiled over to him and waved. She was just lucky really her mother had taken her to do laundry with her when they were traveling the summer before. Yep, washing clothes in a dirty river was so awesome. So awesome.
She reached into the water and let out a little gurgling sound when she realized exactly how cold it was. Holy frozen hands! “Oh merlin” she gasped and looked up in time to see Theo walking into the room. “Hey Theo!” She called over happy to see a familiar face that was actually her age. She may have seen things, but she ignored them as a housemate walked through he door.
She was just glad that Nigel wasn’t throwing bubbles at her.
She had successfully cleaned all of the whites and they were all white again – white, but soapy. So she rung out the clothing, leaned it on the drying rack for a moment before she dumped the dirty water out of the basin and began to fill it with water once more. Dumping the clothing back in she continued the process all over again, the scraping, the wringing, and everything until the water no longer had soapy bubbles inside of it. Once this happened she walked over to the drying wrack and hung the clothing on it again.
As she let those dry she went back to the basin and filled wit with water once more. Dumping a bit more detergent and softener into the basin she glanced over her shoulder nervously. Reaching into her laundry bag the girl almost sketchily grabbed her least favorite things…delicates. She just flushed as she grabbed the first one to clean it.
Every few minutes she’d look over her shoulder, and then the other side.
Repeating and repeating this.
She didn’t want anyone to notice what she was cleaning. Nope, no one at all.
