Mack knew that this would probably be the professor's reply, but the only reason she had asked her was because the headmistress scared her. But she would probably have to go see her, if her grandparents knew the current situations at Hogwarts then they would probably pull her and make her come home immediately. sigh "Professor Bentley, there is one last question that isn't only my own, but several other students as well.. how exactly could the house elves leave? Wouldn't the Headmistress be their master? So they have to obey her?" Again it was a rather invasive question but she felt the students should know, why should they be kept in the dark? It was their school after all.. How would the staff like it if the students did something without telling them. She gave a nasty look in her head. yep, that's how they'd like it.
