She was down to the last few spoons of her ice-cream. This wasn't good. All she needed was one more ingredient then she could go back to class...sigh, without anymore ice-cream. Enough time was spent getting it and eating it as it were so she needed to get back to class mode and what better way to do that than by hurriedly eating those last few spoons then sticking the cup in her bag as well. Of course she scourgify-ed it first. No need to have to making stuff in their sticky.

Chicken feathers.

The barn was the only place she could think to get those and if she couldn't get them here then she was going to have Professor Barlow explain that to the Potions Professor because after that wonderful word she'd shared with the class she didn't think the woman would be up for any excuse given by a student.

Lex walked over to the chickens all locked away at the moment. How was she meant to get feathers from them?? She could pluck them...but then they might have started making unnecessary noises and alerted the Professor who wouldn't be happy to know she was plucking from the live creatures.

Ehhh...

She had a class to get back to. Lex stuck her hand inside and began feeling around--

"Ouch!!!" What the kneazle?? She pulled her hand out immediately and saw the look that chicken was giving her. Ruuuuude. "Look, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way. Work with me." She stuck her hand inside again, this time managing to pluck three in one go before it started clucking about and making everyone else do the same. Ugh and they were flying around now. "Oi! Stop that! How am I meant to grab two more if you lot do things like that???" Really, they should think more. Again she stuck her hand inside but this time it got attacked by beaks!!!!

EEeeek!!

In all the fuss and racket that was now happening she manged to grab another three at which point she immediately withdrew her hand. "See that? I didn't even need the extra one, hmph!" She was soooo out of here.
