The tears were slowly starting to stop and the shaking was completely gone now. Her voice started to get stronger and she finished, "But it is so hard to get over it... I mean he was the only constant in my life and now he is gone and I am just so confused..." Tay let a small whimper out then closed her eyes and reburied her head into Ronnie's shoulder.
Ronnie patted Taylor's back. She felt terrible for the girl! Her eyes widened in shock when Taylor said everyone thinks she should 'shut up about it'.
"Seriously?" she asked.
"Well, they probably don't like seeing you sad. But telling you to shut up about it is rude. They just don't understand what you're going through." she said, shaking her head.
Then she had an idea.
"But I do hate seeing you this way, Taylor. How about we go get some ice cream or something from the kitchen? That always helps me when I'm sad. And you need to get your mind off it as well...like doing something fun. Perhaps after we eat ice cream, we could fly around on the pitch?" she asked, lifting Taylor's chin up so she could look at her. She smiled warmly at her as she waited for the girl to answer.
