Astronomy Homework post 2 After cleaning the room, Melanie levitated the vacuum cleaner back down the stairs, ready to clean the common room out a bit. And more importantly, she'd have to clean out the study area. The study area was such an important place and having it all dusty might make people get watery eyes or start having a coughing fit while completing their assignments and that was a big NO in Melanie's book. While she went down the stairs though, she didn't stop singing once. Because it was fun and it reminded her that sometimes cleaning could be fun too. "I'm not gonna write you a love song, 'cause you ask for it, 'cause you need one," Melanie sang, loudly. It didn't seem like many Gryffindors would care anyways.
Plus, this was practice for when she got older and famous and sang on big stages. She could not let her audience intimidate her into running away. Nope, she'd have to use all of her Gryffindor bravery and stay. Melanie lowered the vacuum cleaner onto the ground before picking up the hose and pretending it was a microphone for a moment. "You see, I'm not gonna write you a love song, 'cause you tell me, it's make or break in this, if you're on your way~"
Not strange at all. Melanie stopped and pulled her wand out, making sure the hose wasn't pointed at her and tapped on it. "Vacavus!" she said clearly, pocketing her wand and starting to sing again. "I'm not gonna write you, to staaayyyyy~ If all you have is leavin' I'mma need a better reason to write you, a love song, today," she sang, sucking up the dust from under the tables and chairs, doing a little dance as she did so.
Melanie stopped singing for a bit to cough into the crook of her arm. All this dust could not be good for anyone. So she continued to keep cleaning and singing her song. And anyone who was staring, well, Melanie was glad they could hear her sing now because when she became famous, it'd be expensive for a ticket.
Except for Miss Louisa, Melanie had promised her that she could come. And for Alice. Because... well... she was Alice. Right. Back to cleaning. Melanie got the dust from behind the shelves, keeping one hand on the light weight objects to make sure they didn't fly away before noticing the diminishing supply. Oh... that wasn't good. Melanie shook that thought from her mind and sucked up some more dust from behind curtains.
