That was just how he'd do it, but it as likely brighter minds were prevailing in doing things this way.
The information about the galleons made Mo pause again in thought, as he mentally calculated how many days worth of entrances that was. It might get a bloke through the school year. "Who told you about the galleons, then? I wonder if we could get people back home to sponsor Ravenclaw entrances. A galleon per student."
But he was of the same mind as Dora, to be honest... things were so different and he wasn't sure how he was going to adjust to them over time. Not just the money woes and paper plates and turnstiles, but all the changes. ALL of them. "I don't think you ever really adjust to new things. You just change your new standard for normal."
"That's not a bad idea, but I like just cooking for my friends. I already have my own schedule and it's not something I'm not already accustomed to." She shrugged. The fourth year was never in the business of caring for anyone else but herself, since she never had to before. But she loved her friends and so it just made sense to add them to her feeding routine.
Even if they ate more than her usually.
"Headmistress Truebridge. Alice and I went to ask her some questions, and she wasn't happy about it, but she did give us some answers. There might be some fundraisers going on too. That's not a bad idea, the sponsoring." She said thoughtfully. The poorer students might appreciate it, that was for sure.
Reaching into her pocket she fished out a small carefully wrapped gift box that contained his present.
"That's adjusting, Marcus Orion." She shot him a easy grin and handed over his present.
"Happy Birthday."
