She grinned at him and took up his hand when she was at his side, then started tugging them both towards the stairs. She would feed them both and then could continue staring or whatever then.

Now was walking. Okay. West was tractable given the company and the promise of food.

"I know. Bad timing given the food isn't so great this term." But he'd eat it all anyway. As much as he could get, but he sure wasn't planning to fill up on ice cream, not with Quidditch starting.

It's totally different." She nodded seriously at Dora before peeking side ways again. "Did you know if you put a galleon in a turnstile, it goes around 493 times? Oakey's going to share his cursing jar's contents with us and help." What other new things?

"Um. The kitchens are open. We can't live in the corridor or the Room of Requirement. The Board of Governors may or may not be raising funds to help, I dunno, I'll owl Gramps later. Gran, too, to ask if anything happened at the bank." And neither of them would tell if something did, would they? It was also very likely that her grandparents wouldn't tell her a thing, but she didn't think about that.

"Food now?" Alice looked at Dora and then back to again, a goofy grin still plastered onto her face. You'd think that she'd be less elated after getting berated by the Headmistress, but no. For reasons. West reasons.
West smiled. "That's a kind of leading." The best kind, even. Her hair looked really nice today. Maybe that was why the headmistress yelled? Not that he'd been there, but jealousy. Obviously.

"Wait... it does?" He frowned. "For the next 493 people that go through or just the person that put the galleon in?" Because that was important to know. Big difference there. West wasn't about to pay a galleon for others to go in after all... ESPECIALLY with the state of their common room not being worth paying for at the moment. The rest got nods, also putting that away in his brain to tell Dylan.

"I'm gonna cook all our meals, and we're still gonna have a sleepover, even if we can't live in the corridors." Pause paaaaaause. "And I'm not using Oakey's money. I have my own, but maybe to pay for others."
"Yeah?" He looked back at Dora. Something she should appreciate by the way. "You could cook for me and Theo too, we'd let you do that, if you wanted Siddie." They would yes. "Where would you do a sleepover then? The dungeons are off. Completely. Its really bad down there." Eh. He probably WOULD use Oakey's money if he got the change... if he didn't have to pay it back. Not that he couldn't figure something out for himself but... well, free money.

You'd be daft to say no to free money.

West probably looked daft at that moment himself. You know, on account of staring.
