"Hmm.. Thanks for the knut. I have no money on me right now". Nigel said as he takes the knut from her. "I'm Nigel and I have never had to pay to enter the common room before. But I'm probably going to stay back till either one of the Prefects get here."
He might as well ask Beezus who had just arrived if they should copy this knut he had just received from this nice first year.

"I'm Isobel." Huh, odd that they'd never had to pay before. She guessed that it had something to do with the budget cuts and lack of silverware that they were talking about during the feast, but she was just too tired to care anymore. Waving goodbye to Nigel and the prefect whose name she'd forgotten but had showed up looking stressed, Isobel inserted a knut and walked into the common room through the turnstile.
