What if they were planning something like a--like a revolution and he'd just ruined their plans by paying? What if they hated him now and--he took deep breaths, still in the doorway (so anyone who tried to enter would be blocked). They didn't quite look like the revolutionary types, but how many times had he met one, anyway?

After a full minute, he finally walked a few steps into the room and he was awed by... everything. His eyes took every detail in slowly, and they fell on the pictures at last.

Running to it with a look of utter wonder on his face, he eyed the portrait for a solid minute as it kept moving and--he was FASCINATED. He could definitely watch it for the whole night.

As for the dust? He didn't even notice!
