So, Forrest had missed some of his peer's sorting because of the 'welcome's he got, but he did watch the girl's with whom he shared a boat. And he was a little bit disappointed to see her sorted into Slytherin. She was the only first year he met and he could definitely do with a friend in Hufflepuff too (considering he wasn't very good at meeting people). A friend at HIS age, that is. And then she found him.

He was pretty surprised to see her there, actually, but his happiness was greater and he smiled as far as his mouth would go. So, that meant she didn't find him too boring or inferior because he was in Hufflepuff.

"Hello," he greeted back as he glanced around. No one told her to go? So it was safe to visit other tables? COOL! He scooted over to make her some place to sit. She wanted to sit, right?

"I'm Forrest Charlton," he said--and that was pretty much it. He had always been horrible at continuing a conversation, and he was even more reluctant to open his mouth now because he was afraid of saying something stupid about magic.
