As each person came in, Roxanne looked up briefly from the breakfast she was cooking and said a polite "Good morning!" and a smiley "No thanks, I've got it!" to Ashley. She didn't have time for more than that, however, as she needed to keep an extra close eye on the food. Because anyone that knew her well knew that cooking wasn't exactly her bag. She thought was doing pretty well, considering. Nothing was on fire, at least.
Finally, the food was done and she placed the pans containing both the bacon and eggs on the table, along with a pot of coffee and carton of orange juice, so that everyone could take what they wanted. "Bon appétit!" It wasn't until she was sitting down that she noticed the absence of two of her own. "So, has anyone seen Laura or Elizibeth this morning?" She wasn't too worried about them yet, though. Maybe they had gone for a early run?
