Finally Arlene was able to find a seat at the Hufflepuff table. Normally the large amount of people would make her nervous but she seemed to find some piece of confidence as she approached an older student and sat beside her. "I hope you don't mind if I join you." Arlene spoke, she tried to speak loud enough to be heard, but her soft voice was normally too quiet to hear. "I'm Arlene Murdock." She added on.

Don't make it awkward. She told herself. "First year." Although that part was evidently fairly clear with how she was acting.
