Isobel laughed, wouldn't anyone hate it? and let Nudge out. The Siamese cat bolted out as quickly as she could, and then sat down between the two girls and began licking one of her black paws, pretending she didn't care, and was completely dignified in her exiting the cage.
"Oh, go right ahead! Unless you're allergic or anything, of course." Tora probably would have mentioned if she was allergic. It seemed Isobel had suddenly developed a habit of pointing out the obvious.
"Oh, yeah." In her experience, Hufflepuffs were generally very down-to-earth, and Tora didn't really look the type. Still, apparently the Sorting can bring out unexpected qualities in people!
"So..." Isobel said, casting around for something to talk about.
"Your grandmother's American, huh?" She'd heard her back on the platform, and wondered why Tora didn't have an accent as well.
