"That's the one. It's okay I guess, I kinda suck at French so it wasn't the best experience over all, but I'm sure it would have been fine otherwise." Ali said trying to just shrug it off. "I'm entering my fifth year now, and no I don't really know which house yet. I mean my brother was in Ravenclaw but I don't really know about the houses or which I would really belong in or anything like that."
After settling into a seat in an empty compartment, Jory nodded.
"I have some ideas,'' he began.
"Maybe an Auror or a Detective. That's like an Auror in the Muggle world,'' he added, just in case the girl didn't know.
"I'm Muggle born, you see.''
As he listened to Ali talk about her school, or former school for that matter, he turned to look at the Platform. He only spotted someone here and there, so by the looks of it all the students were on board. He could hardly wait to get to Hogwarts! He turned back to Ali.
"French is one of the hardest things I ever tried to learn.'' It was true. He had difficulty in learning the language. At least he had made a bit more progress with Spanish.
"How long ago did your brother eave school?'' the seventh year asked. Maybe he knew him?
"I'm in Hufflepuff, the best House ever.'' Big grin. Huffie pride.
"I hope you're in Hufflepuff, too.'' But whichever House she was in, he was sure Ali would love it. He told her that.

Maybe things will change this year? Anyway- ‘Seeker, probably’, Gwendolyn mused. She wasn’t entirely sure why. And if not, then Chaser. But not beater. She wouldn’t be good at that. Or so she thought. Anyway- maybe she had inherited her dad’s talent at Quidditch? Or maybe not.

‘Thanks Jory’ SMIRK. Alright, she wasn’t doing that bad in Muggle Studies anymore, but that didn’t mean she was some genius either. So yes, she still needed help. Hmm. Anyway- maybe it was a good idea to study together, like they had done for the OWLs. ‘How is Arithmancy going?’ It actually was one of her favourite subjects, together with Potions.
Alright well… this wasn’t what she had meant to ask Jory, but ehh. She would try to figure out things on her own. Ughhh. She needed her best friend right now. Her thought were interrupted as they stopped in front of a compartment. This one? Yeah, why not? Gwen made her way in and crashed on one of the empty seats by the window.
Going back to Hogwarts!

"Cool,'' Jory said with a grin.
"You should definitely try out, then.'' He would love to see Gwen zooming around the Pitch, in search of the Snitch, dodging players and bludgers.
"I would be fun to see you play.'' He'd cheer for Gwen, of course. But the Hufflepuff team came first.
"No, problem,'' the boy said.
"I'm actually getting better at it,'' he added. He was very pleased with that. He had gotten Acceptable in his Arithmancy OWL and to be honest he was surprised. he had expected a P at least. Maybe he could scrape a an Exceeds Expectations or even Outstanding for NEWTs?
Jory followed Gwen into the compartment.
"What are you so happy about?'' he asked, noting her huge grin.
