He accepted her outstretched hand and shook it, his confusion shifting to a smile at her thank you. "Oh, no problem. Here is your stuff..I think I got it all," he murmured, looking around again and then looking back up, chuckling at her last statement. "Mm, I guess not. Maybe next year?" There was always time to improve.
She dried her tears still on her face with the back of her left hand, smiling. At least the boy wasn't scared by her nervous breakdown:
"hi, I'm Anabeth. Please, forget about my nervous breakdown, but things aren't easy for me today. My parents... *sobs*
they had not even come with me to the King's Cross... I'm alone and I don't know what to do... I just know that I must catch the train." She stopped talking, she was afraid of frightening him, the only one who showed to care for her over the past months.
