It had been sort of strange to receive and invitation to Wesley's birthday party. Ella usually thought parties were for friends and family, but they had rarely spoken at work. But, as a fellow department head, Ella of course wanted to come and celebrate the man's birthday.
So, Ella came. She didn't know who would be there until she walked in and was surprised to see people from all over the Ministry there. She didn't know quite a few of them.
Seeing people put the gifts on the table, Ella followed and set her gift bag with the others. Now... socializing? Ella didn't have a problem with that. Except for initiating it. |
