"Hi, Laura.." he said, being friendly and trying not to listen in on their conversation as he tried to catch a glimpse of Elise. Where did that cat go..?
Laura suddenly saw Ethan. "Here Ethan." Laura handed him an espresso. "I didn't know what you like so I got you this." Laura hoped that Ethan wouldn't mind what she had bought him. "I hope you'll enjoy it." Laura didn't know what else to say so looked back at Minerva.

Then she eyed Laura again, "Are you kidding me.. I can see it now, Yes Mrs. Hyde I found your daughter and she spent the rest of summer with me, but I lost her just as we were going on the train. No she would not understand. I gave her my word. Plus, you would not jump ship on me, you promised. " She did promise and Minerva was planning on staying with her a bit next summer to keep her promise as well. Minerva then looked at her friend very concerned, "Laura you took off this summer, you haven't been your happy bouncing self, your not fine, don't lie to me."
Shaking her head she did not like hearing those words, "Laura, you are my friend, so don't you ever say your bothering me. My friends do not bother me. I love my friends coming to me when they need something, you should know that by now." The first time she had ever really spoke to Laura she was trying to help her with her Professor Shirmer making her go to Hadley problem. So it was a problem that started their friendship. Minerva then frowned, "I know I was a bad friend last term, I had a lot on my plate, but I'm better again, I promise, and I have time for all my friends."
Laura giggled as Minerva went a bit funny. "I never thought about it like that, but as you said I did tell you I would stay and I keep my promises." Laura had no idea what to say to the next thing but decided to try her best. "I am fine, I just needed some time to myself, so I went to a friends house, okay so I didn't tell anyone I was going but I was at a friends house." Laura wondered what Minerva would say.
"But sometimes you might not want me to bother you especially when your with Ethan." Laura giggled, yeah she knew that Minerva was in love with Ethan. "Anyway i'll remember that and if I feel like I did at the end of the term, I promise to come and talk to you." Laura said truthfully. "Is that a deal?" Laura hoped it was.
