Managing to fall on his feet, Derek took a good look around when his head stopped spinning from the landing.
Hm... interesting place. Far from everything and... everyone. Derek completely approved. He could live somewhere like this. It would be fantastic.
With one of his hands on the backpack strap over his shoulder, the young man listened to the Head of the Enviro Department give out instructions and watched her disappear into her own tent.
He waited a bit for the other to start moving before he did so himself. Maybe if he was behind people wouldn't turned around to talk to him. It'd give him more time to find his tent and be alone.
