Dragging her giant leather luggage behind her with one hand and cradling her owl's shiny bronze cage in her opposite arm, Eliza shuffled her way to the luggage compartment until she came to an abrupt stop. She dropped her luggage and sat Luna's cage on the ground so that she could shake out her arms once more before lifting the heavy items again. She'd managed to eliminate some of her clothing during her packing process but it always seemed like her suitcase was ten times heavier than she remembered it being at the start of the year.
Once her arms felt rejuvenated enough to lift the items into the compartment, she proceeded to heave and push her luggage in and then turned to her owl. She knelt down to say a quick goodbye to her feathered friend, hoping she would have a good ride back. "All right Luna, you have a nice trip okay? I'll see you once we get there." She did feel badly for having to leave her there amongst all of the clutter, but she knew there would be other owls in cages near her soon so she wouldn't feel so alone. "Just hang in there and...you know, have fun. Socialize. Have a hoot," she joked with a smile to her spotted little owl. She carefully lifted her into the proper place in the compartment and waved one more time before turning to head towards the cars on the train. Now where to sit? she thought as she walked slowly. Not the back. That's a one way ticket to Nausea Town. She figured she'd take a peek at the front cars, but end up in the middle as she had her previous times on the train. And hopefully nothing too scary happens on the way home! A safe, dependable trip home would be good for everyone. She was sure all of the students would be grateful for a stress free train ride. Here goes!
