I could have just accioed my things, but I preferred to go up to my office one last time. I picked up the plaque on my desk that read "Cornelius Fudge, Minister of Magic."
"Sorry, Cornelius," said my secretary, but I didn't care. Many had muttered that I hadn't believed Harry Potter's word about Voldemort, but they hadn't believed either. After years of dreaming of this position, after getting used to power, I had lost it.
Fallen from grace came to my mind. I waved it away.
