King of Cups.
It was a Court card which meant that it symbolized a person, well, close enough. And Cups? ...Slytherin? Beezus tilted her head slightly to the right and that was when she felt a tugging on her hair. Eh?
She turned her head to identify her assailant and saw that it was Dylan. Blink. Did she just.....saw him coming? Whoa. She did. Beezus returned the card face down together with the other ones on the deck as she nodded and scooted a bit to give the Slytherin Captain some space to sit on. "We're in class. Don't.....call me that." Because she it didn't sound proper, especially since they were student leaders. Oh, and I totally saw you coming. She also wanted to add.
Cards doing their magic much?
SMIRK.
"Whatever you say, babe."...because Dylan knew no one else was going to comment about it's use. It wasn't totally inappropriate...like some of the ones they personally had for one another.
Ahem. Babe was mild in comparison.
Taking a seat, he laid his notebook, ink, and quill out...but kept the deck of tarot cards in hand, idly shuffling them.
"I assume we'll interpret for one another?" The Slytherin grinned at her face. It made the most sense, of course...and he was curious. Not that he'd be telling her as much. Nope...Selfish reasons here and all that.
"I'll go first, yea?"
Keeping the Ravenclaw in mind in general, he split and shuffled the deck a few more times before taking a deep breath...pulling the top three cards and laying them out (face down) in succession.
Past...Present...Future...
Before doing anything with them, he readied his notebook for the activity...
Yes, his notes were meticulous. The fact that he could be so OCD about something so stupid...wasn't his fault. It was already decided. Giving her a secretive smile, he flipped the first card over.
The Queen of Cups. Reversed.
Shooting a look at his girlfriend, he quickly flipped through his textbook...looking for meanings for interpretation...Dylan leafed through until he landed on the appropriate page.
Here we are... "So, this is a card telling of the Past and the forces and influences that are...fading away." Ahem.
"..." Dylan looked up at her thoughtfully. This description was rather...depressing.
"...The Divinatory meanings for the Reversed are...basically a respected woman that can't be trusted? Dishonour and depravity..."
It was a good thing this was a Past card...or Dylan might feel inclined to get overly angry and protective...Hmph.
"Additional meanings...Extremes. On one extreme - unnurturing, neglectful, unloving, a cool personality. On the other extreme - smothering love, over attachment, over sentimental. A creative block. Incorrect development or use of psychic abilities." Blink.
".....Thoughts?"
...Because he didn't know what to say...or what might be considered inconsiderate...Yea.
