| Post 3 Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict Unfortunately, Kendall couldn’t keep her potion as just water. The explosion on the other side of the room had startled her enough that she’d paused in her own brewing and even second-guessed if she could manage brewing a potion on her own. She couldn’t stall for too long, however, seeing as Professor Lafay was still on the prowl and she’d heard the comments the people who had been near the explosion had gotten. She didn’t want anything like that happening to her, so she had to get back to brewing. All that she had to do was add ingredients and heat the potion anyway, so therefore she shouldn’t be afraid of anything. Even if there had been the perfect example of why she was nervous already. That didn’t mean she would have the same thing happen to her own potion. All she had to do was continue to think positively. Her ingredients were still all ready and organized, after all, so there was nothing to be scared of.
Therefore, she finally continued sliding the little container of fairy wings over toward herself. That was the first real step after all. It felt a little bit like she was sacrificing herself, just because of her memories of the Muggles back home in Galway thinking she was part fairy, but she wasn’t. Besides, there was every possibility that the fairies that had provided these wings had been dead before they’d been gathered, so she delicately selected a pair and dropped them into the water filling her cauldron. She wasn’t actually hurting anything by using something that wasn’t needed anymore. Once the wings had been added, she picked up her wand again and lit the burner under her cauldron to start heating everything. It was supposed to turn turquoise, and she leaned over to watch the liquid. It looked like plain water for what seemed like a long time, but finally, it started turning a pale aqua and deepened to turquoise. At least that went how it was supposed to, even if it took a long time.
