First Time - Lifehouse
The morning sun was warm through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Dallin sat on the floor against a window, feeling the heat on his back as he watched Ellie sleeping on the couch in front of him. It was only a day after the fiasco with her grandma, and Ellie was exhausted. Dallin was too, but he couldn't stop looking at her. This girl that was sick just twenty-four hours ago, that he thought he'd never see again.
She stirred and sat up slowly. Dallin walked over, crouched by the couch and took her hand with a whispered, "I love you."
