Nodding at everyone and not repeating their answers, Elise decided that she would try the wand movement on the Impiriano shield first as she always did. Wand movement followed by incantation.
Seeing as the wand movement was just a circle and a flick of the wrist, Elies really didn't have problems with it. Ciiiircle, flick. Circle, flick. See? It was EASY. Now for the usually harder part. Incantations. "Im-pee-ri-a-no," she said slowly. "Impiriano? ImPIriano." Right, the emphasis small and in the 'pi' part, like Professor Romanos had done. Time to practice, right? RIGHT.
"Impiriano," she said quietly, watching as a pale blue-violet bubble emerged from her wand and surrounded her. That was nothing short of fascinating. A bit in awe, she lowered her wand and watched as the bubble seemed to wobble a little before bursting. Like those soap bubbles.
Before Elise had the chance to take any notes, however, the class had moved on to the next charm. The next SHIELD charm, to be more precise. Loricatus, the armouring charm. Elise knew the wand movement, since she'd been trying out all the strange ones, but it did help to practice.
Rolling her wand and flicking it upwards, Elise grinned. Practice did make perfect, anyway. Roll, flick. "Lo-ree-cat-us?" she mumbled. "Loricatus." That was it. Loricatus, with a roll between the fingers and a FLICK. And she did just that, feeling the weight settle on almost her whole body, save for her head. Well, she had time.
"Loricatus." HEY, LOOK! It worked this time! Feeling a significantly lighter weight settle on her WHOLE body, Elise sort of just shook it off. It was time for the duels!
As soon as Professor Romanos decided that they were ready, she beamed as she put her quill and ink into her bag, levitated it over to a corner of the room where it wouldn't obstruct her or anyone else and turned around to beam at her best friend.
"I'm ready when you are!"
And no, Kat. Chris wouldn't freak out too much if she got hurt. She wouldn't let him.
