Professor Bellaire walked towards the board and wrote out a definition on the board.

"Alright, so now that we have a basic definition on the board. Can anyone tell me under what circumstance/s the use of this charm is mandatory? Now I'll only be rewarding the first answer with points for this bit of the question." she sat on the edge of her desk. "I would also like everyone to give me scenarios as to when a charm like this could be helpful. You are free to be creative not crazy."

Alyssa was elated when she earned points for her first answer but was disappointed when she didn't get the chance to answer the next question first. But she figured that she could still earn points for attempting to answer it, and so she raised her hand.

"This charm would be mandatory to prevent muggles from seeing what they should not be seeing thus reducing the possibility of utter chaos and mass hysteria. Dylan and Bliss already mentioned the winged horses but I was thinking that it should also be mandatory for wizards and witches too especially when they are apparating into a muggle place. If they didn't cast the disillusionment charm on themselves, some muggle may accidentally see them appearing out of nowhere.

I mean if I was a muggle, and someone just popped up in front of me, out of nowhere, I'd think that I'd seen a ghost or there was an alien invasion and freak out.
" Alyssa hoped that was a good example.

Now for the scenario, Alyssa spent some time thinking about an example, before raising her hand.

Professor this charm can be used to provide protection and security for people who may have someone who would want to do them harm. Like uh...when Lord Botts was Minister of Magic, I'm sure that he had lots of people who disliked him and wanted to cause him harm. He could have used this charm to help him blend in with the rest of the people when he was out in the public and wanted to do some shopping or go grab something to eat, without having a bunch of Aurors and MLE staff trailing behind him."

'Although it must have been hard to for him to blend in since he was a large man, with a large mouth and would have been too arrogant to admit that he needed protection.' Alyssa silently thought to herself.
