A year...
Had it really been that long?
Well since Kyle had actively interacted and remembered him it might have been. Thinking back, the last real true dealing with each other was at the orientation and reopening which was after the break that was a year before now. Of course HE had seen and interacted with her since then but he figured she didn't remember. "Yeah...it has been."
Simon ran an absent hand through his dirty-blonde hair, unconsciously duplicating her move as he tried to think of what more to say, the only words coming out were...
"I'm sorry." For everything, including or maybe especially his early role.
He was sorry? For what?
Her trying to make a lunch out of him on day? Or her drooling and getting sick all over him. That WASN'T his darn fault. She just had to hold herself back from glaring at him.
"It wasn't" she gritted her teeth,
"your fault" and she wanted to ad a string of mild magical-curses there, but she held herself back. Really the worst she ever said was merlins moldy pants. That was
nothing.
"I was infected. So," she just shrugged and rolled her eyes a bit...and shrugged.
"Sorry, I'm just...I don't know" her shoulder's sagged a bit.
"I got 'cured' from that ruddy thing just to find out that me getting sick mucked up my aunt's chance at a wedding and its off but they are still together. And the icing on the cake is she's gotten herself all preggo-my-eggo and yeah. No one told me. Or if they did I didn't remember." She shrugged.
"And I think I still have chunks of splinters of wood in my mouth." She grumbled some more.
"But at least I've got a new wand."
