The man folded one leg loosely over the other at the knee and settled into his chair so his back was against the wall and he was facing out. "So. Mr. Berg." He flicked his gaze over to his companion. "How do you think the first debate went?"
Bjorn deposited his coat on the chair next to him.
"Same as me. Two firewhiskeys coming right up." He strode off to the counter and returned in a few minutes, two bottles in his hands. He set one before Erik and took a swig of his own. Sighing in a satisfied manner, he said
"Best stuff for a cold day like this."
Bjorn registered the formality. With a shooing motion, he said,
"Nonsense. Just Bjorn to you." He smiled warmly.
"The debate. Yes, I am quite... pleased with the outcome." His thoughts went to the vial of Babbling Beverage he had Vanished earlier.
"You did marvelously, of course. That whole 'A Vote for Vinteren' line! Couldn't have scripted it better myself!" Which meant this man was a natural.
How much to tell..? Could he trust Erik to keep quiet about certain events?
"As for some of the others.. That Schirmer made a prat of herself, if you ask me. Couldn't stop talking..." A gleam in his eye was hinting at the purpose behind this. Would Erik ask, was he suspicious?
