ooc: This is the start of a new scene. The scene is the wedding between Benjamin and Sky. The wedding occurs in the gathering hall near the loft and the reception will occur in the loft. The day is New Years Day, 2080.
Benjy was nervous. Not cold feet nervous, just nervous. The redhead was standing off to the side at the front of the room, waiting for Elizabeth to show up and let him know that they were ready to go. He fidgeted around with his white and green striped tie. His tuxedo was white as was his vest. His shoes, shirt, and handkerchief were a Slytherin green, matching the green on the tie.
The former slytherin looked around at his family who had come to support him and Sky. Most of them were seated, but Benjy noticed his niece, Lily, corralling his nephew, Lupin, and Elizabeth's son, Lucas, at the end of the isle. Lupin and Lucas were going to be the ring bearers, and Lily was going to be a flower girl. Turning his attention to the door which led to the room that Sky was preparing in, Benjy started to get a little anxious. He knew he was marrying his best friend, so he just wanted to see her and get the show on the road.
The minister presiding over the wedding was none other than Benjamin's adopted father. Mr. Thomas Doherty stood on the top step in the front of the room, lined up directly with the isle. He wore a simple set of black dress robes and had a top hat covering his nearly bald head. He glanced briefly at his watch and noted that there was still half an hour until the ceremony was supposed to begin. After a quick glance towards his stepson, he pulled out a little black book and a quick quotes quill and started taking some notes. |
