She wondered if Sarah liked to sing for real or if she was just being silly for class. At any rate, it was time to continue.
"Well, sorry about my umbrella," she said with a wink, knowing full and well that's what Sarah'd wanted to happen. Now it was Eliza's turn, and while she wouldn't mind getting wet she would rather avoid it if she could, just cause being wet wasn't very fun unless it was out in a real storm or if she was swimming. Fake rain didn't really tickle her fancy much. But sprinklers are fun, so...anyway.
She picked up the blue umbrella Sarah had made, since Eliza was a Ravenclaw she figured she'd use that one. "Thanks for letting me use one of yours," she said with a smile as she hopped into the cubicle. "Now we'll just see if it works!" she called out from inside the containment area.
She waited patiently for Sarah to cast the water spell, and once she heard her call it out - she heard the pitter patter splish splash of droplets falling down onto her umbrella. Some drops hit her shoes that were poking out from underneath the brim, but so far so good. The water seemed to be staying out...until she felt a trickle down her neck. What the? She reached a hand underneath the her collar and felt the wetness, then looked up. Right where the handle connected to the spokes and the fabric there seemed to be a small leak. A few more drops fell onto her hair, but not much more. Once Sarah had finished the spell, she hopped out and handed the umbrella back to her after shaking the excess water off.
"Yours held up pretty well! Good job! Only thing is there seems to be a small leak towards the center of the umbrella. Riiiiight there," she pointed out. But better than mine!" She eyed her giant red umbrella that she had made during class and wondered if it had been made better than her floral one. "Would you mind if you tried out the red umbrella I made? I want to see if it works at all." If there wasn't time though, she'd understand. She could always take the umbrella back to the dorms and try it out on a real rainy day.
a song bird? I do like to sing. I sing especially when my heart sings, like it gets overpowered with emotion so I make songs up!" she said to Eliza.
"Its a pleasure- glad to be of use!" she told Eliza referring to the umbrella,
"I hope it works."
Then Eliza went in and Sarah cast the water spell and the 'rain' came down. After some time her arm began to ache yet she knew that she was lion and lions were tough. Yet after some time she decided to finish the spell and soon Eliza emerged. Sarah was slightly discontent with the report, she liked perfection and as an over achiever, a job with a fail was not nice to her, yet she was okay. It was only an umbrella after all.
"
thanks for trying it, i am sorry you got wet.. though. Sure I will try..." yet she then looked at her watch time was nearly up she had about thirty seconds left...
" actuallyt there is not time to do it in class, yet I can help you test it out out of class if you want!" Sarah offered.
The lesson then officially ended, She then casted the drying charm on herself and went to collect her things. Before she left, one more thing
"thank you for the lesson, proffessor!" she said,
"and thank you for anwering all my questions.. just one more, are these umbrellas strong and how can we make them strong enough to withstand wind?" Sarah asked.
