Whereupon he received a note. What lovely timing; they had to meet their managers
now? He shook his head and adjusted his tie, a house-neutral colour. Then he grabbed a drink but didn't drink it, yet, he just held it and waited for his manager to approach him.
He was certain he would get along with the person, once he knew everything about them of course.
Yes, he was arriving backstage fashionably late. It wasn't as if he cared to be waiting backstage for a bunch of his client's competitors to arrive. No no, he had used this extra time since his early arrival to be out among the voters, getting a feel for the general mood, forging valuable contacts, and most importantly dropping subtle hints as to the excellent qualifications of his client.
Speaking of whom, he spotted Erik immediately upon his entrance into the area.
Ah, the man had enough sense to dress professionally... House-neutral color... I think I can actually work with this man!
Bjorn approached Erik and produced his right hand, ready for a handshake.
"Ah, you must be Mister Vinteren, no? Pleasure to meet you, sir." With a cheesy grin, Bjorn said,
"I'm Bjorn Berg, your Ministry-appointed campaign manager." He looked at his watch.
"I don't wish to keep you long, I know you likely have last minute things to review before you take the stage. Shall we meet up after the debate? Say.. the Three Broomsticks?" Highly visible location, good publicity.
