The first place the third year visited was the Lake, somewhere that held a fondness in his heart. He wandered along the path that led him to the stretch of water, scanning his eyes across all the figures until he came across one that was familiar to him, one that he wanted to talk to. After 10 minutes of strolling there was no such luck.
That was until he spotted the long hair that belonged to his best friend, at least he hoped she still was. He headed over until he was a couple of metres away. "BLI--" he called out across the distance that separated them until he noticed West and then saw what they were doing. He stared for a short time and then began walking back in the opposite direction, disappointed and completely speechless.
As quickly as he had arrived, he had gone back through the main doors of the castle. Quote:

He was making mental notes of things. It was good that he had a good memory, now he had a little file in his head marked Bliss where all the important little facts went. Also a list of questions to ask. Which he would, but not now. Now was for being bothered and holding hands.
Because his brain wasn't even gonna work a little bit while kissing was happening. Sort of like a flatline. Nobody warned him about that part. There was no blood in his brain. It was like it just said no.

.... was that a sound? In his not working brain it was like a bleat. A lamb bleat. Bliiiii. Bliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiih.
He only stopped the kissing thing on account of his brain, the weird brain that didn't properly work aside from thinking randomly of lambs, hadn't told him how to breathe either. So breathing. He pulled away a little bit to breath. Breaaaaaaaaaathe.
And sort of to look at Bliss a bit too. It was nice looking at her and stuff. She looked happy and that was the best. Bliss leaned back and smiled widely at West, her chest rising and falling quickly and her heart fluttering. Would it be cheesy to say that that was magical? Well, it was. She shut her eyes for a second and when through it again. Yeah, it was definitely magical. But, wait ...
What was that?
She spun around, trying to locate the noise and then spotted a blond figure that was quickly retreating into the distance. Was that...? No, it couldn't be. Could it? BLINK. Hoping West wouldn't take offence, Bliss decided to find out whether she was right. "Um...excuse me for a second?" She asked, leaning over before placing a kiss on West's cheek. The she was off, jogging towards the boy.
But it was too late ...
He was gone. |
