It was all hands on deck whenever any of the staff had any free time.
The students could only do so much in the care of the mandrakes and the preparation of the draught was left to only those with enough experience to be sure of doing it properly. Namely Snape and Poppy. That didn’t mean Aurora wasn’t left one afternoon to stand watch over the siting, brewing potions. It was all oozy and gooey at this stage and she couldn’t help hoping that nothing went wrong on her watch.
“Now no exploding…” she mused as she checked on things.
