Her second lesson of the day was Muggle Studies. She frowned. She knew a couple things about muggles but not too much. Muggles were quite foreign.
A class to sleep in?
Jo frowned slightly as she wondered what this class was going to be like. She had heard mixed reviews, but she wanted to find out what the class was like for herself. As soon as she entered the room, Jo completely changed her mind about this class. This class looked as if it was going to be a lot of fun. The Professor had.. food? What was this? Professors at her old school had never brought in food. She gave the professor a small smile. "
Hello Professor, Josephine Goyle," she said as she picked up a jello. "
Umm.. Thanks." She gazed towards the rest of the classroom as she looked for an open seat.
Now. Was there a free place to sit? she wondered and her brown eyes glanced upon two girls who looked about her age.

Anyone who paid close enough attention could usually spot her taking a nice, long snooze in the corner of the room during class. Because, well, she just didn't understand Muggles. Their little contraptions and trinkets confused the Gryffindor out of her, so she SLEPT during the class. It was better to doze off and catch up on rest than stay awake and stare at everyone with a lost expression on her face, yeah?
But another reason she wasn't skipping class was because Professor Cerulean usually had FOOD. "Hullo, Professor Cerulean, I trust you had a good summer." The lady got a beam from Alice, too. Because, as much distaste as she held for the subject that she taught, the professor was really quite nice. And gave out sweets. So, obviously, the fourth year adored her.
Now. Where to sit?
She just counted herself lucky that there was an open spot right next to her best friend, she really did. Alice slipped into the seat eagerly, picking up the spoon even before she had flopped into the chair. "You going to eat that, Melon?" Because, if not, SHE would. Gladly. It was pretty simple to tell that she was one of those children who ate too much candy, was usually on a sugar high, and had excessive amounts of energy. It wasn't difficult to notice at all.
So, keeping her eyes on the jello before Melanie, she began eating her own, too.
The blonde found a spare seat beside someone who looked around her age. The girl was busy asking someone something. She didn't want to interrupt the girl and be rude, but then again Jo didn't want to sit on her own. She tossed up the situation in her mind briefly before deciding to bug the girl. She hated sitting alone. It wasn't fun at all. Besides, Jo barely knew anyone at the school- so perhaps it was a good thing to make some acquaintances.
"
Hi, excuse me. Is this seat taken next to you?" she asked, flashing both girls (Alice and Melanie) a rare smile.
