Shane quickly made his way over to the table of paddles picking up paddle number 29. He wasnt quite sure why he chose that number maybe it was the first one he saw or the first one he could grab without being trampled by other bidders either way he had his paddle and he made his way over to the corner not far from a girl that was pleading with her father over the crystal ball being auctioned.
That was not the object Shane had his eye on. He in fact wanted the vial Felix Felicis. Liquid Luck could come in handy. But he kept his gaze on the girl for a few moments. She was in his year and he knew he had seen her before in classes and the great hall though he had never taken the time to say anything. But then again Shane normally didnt just openly speak to people. Most people might have even thought he didnt speak ever.

"Daddy! Daddy do you see that?! It's so pretty! Can I have it?! Can I have it pleeeeease?!" Lex was practically bouncing in her seat when she saw the crystal ball! It was sooooo shiny and lovely looking. Surely she'd find use for it and it wasn't even being bid that high for either!!! She shot her father the most eager eyes she could conjure. "Pleeeeaaaase?!"
Blink. Blink.
He couldn't see the appeal. What was so special about the crystal orb? He looked down at her precious face and sighed. It didn't matter why she wanted it, the fact was that she wanted it and he wanted his princess to be happy. "Go for it."
Lex shoved paddle 18 in the air, nearly shooting up herself. "50 galleons!"
