Ivy smirked when he winked and raised his paddle. There, now she had a man bidding for her. She wondered how much he would pay for that necklace. Before, she wasn't going to pay more than 70 galleons for it, but she would let him go as far as he wanted... Ivy continued to smirk and sat back in her seat and waited.
Oh, but since they were there... "Tell me, Mr. Vinteren, what do you do to keep busy?"
Erik was quiet for a few moments, watching the old lady and the fatherly figure duke it out with their paddles. He shook his head when the old lady kept bidding and offered Ivy an apologetic shrug.
"It's not even diamond," he said simply, keeping his paddle flat in his hand. No loss there. There would be others to bid upon.
And speaking of others... Erik's eyes were roaming the room again, as usual, until Ivy drew his gaze back to her with her question. He kept his face completely deadpan and answered her question with another question, though he was laughing a bit on the inside.
"Are you asking me out, Ms. Knox?"
Why else would she need to know what he did to
keep busy? Heh.
