"This is ridiculous." the Slytherin smoothed the back of his head and searched his immediate area for a clue on how to get out. Seeing small rocks, he started to collect them one by one and as soon as he got a handful, he proceeded to mark all the paths that he already covered. Totally missing the entrance again which was now on his right, he took a left and followed the path. As soon as he took a right, he found a bunch of cornstalks blocking the way.
He turned around and immediately did a double take. Was that Oakey on the ground? Where'd his friend go? Mordred hid himself on the corner and contemplated his next move. Should he ask Oakey if he needed help? "What if he says no?" Wincing at the thought, he took a step away from his position to get another path. "Okay. THIS is ridiculous. All of this is pointless." Turning around, he went back to where Oakey was sat, and watched him do the Point-Me thing.
"That thing's not going to help you." he said as he eyed the wand on Oakey's hand. Mordred then looked at the ground and turned around clearly chickening out because of the awkwardness. He'd love to not care about Oakey not finding his way out, but it's not in his nature to leave his friends behind. He purposefully walked slowly to let Oakey catch up with him...that is...if he wanted to.
Oakey looked up when he thought someone called his name out.
"Who said that!" He said as he stood up and tried to look through the Corn Stalks to spot who it was who said his name.
Then from the corner of his eye he saw Mordred again!
Maybe I should follow him now. Oakey thought to himself. He was about to peek around the corner to see if he hadn't lost the Slytherin when Mordred popped around the corner again and berated his Four Point Spell.
"It's better than nothing." He scoffed to Mordred who he was sure still hated him.
"I'm sure you couldn't think of anything yourself."
But the snake had ignored him and continued on, how rude! Oakey hurried behind him kicking a rock out of his way accidentally.
Why did he come back? Oakey thought as he caught up to Mordred.
