Distracted lately. Right. never mind that for now, they were busy enough LOST in that maze already, even though they were probably far from being halfway out.
"Good. I hope there isn't anything that can... you know, hurt us." She ouwld say 'kill' or 'eat', but she decided to choose her words more wisely. Those wouldn't be good things to say at the moment. She didn't want to scare Ella - and herself - even more. "What if someone eats all of them???" The gummy bear trail idea wasn't the best one. They might end up with a hungry... create, or just a person, with them. If it was a person, then alright. But what if it wasn't?? "Just keep them, it's better." Yep. They could always... make each other float above the corns to see the exit, in the last case.
Hopefully Ella wouldn't mind being levitated.
Oh, if the blonde badger didn't notice, Sophie was quite scared herself. That was why she didn't let go of her arm. "We'll be alright, though." Even though that crazy maze was in Hogwarts and the school had showed itself to be quite... eventful.
Sophie could hear a lot of people walking in and talking now. That meant they were a bit safer. She couldn't see any of them, but every now and then she would hear the plants next to her moving as other students walked by on the other side.
Walk. Walk. Walk. Walk.
And there was another moment to decide wich way to go!! OHNO! "Left or right??" Sophie asked her friend, looking from one way then to the other.
Ella was glad Soph was laughing about the worm comment and she BEAMED at her friend before giggling. Oh and she'd had herself a dirt flavored bean? GRIN.
"I always get the grass flavored ones...makes me feel like a rabbit." Maybe Sir Treyen would want to adopt her because of this? He liked rabbits, yeah?

yeah! Ella hoped that too! She couldn't even imagine just walking along and suddenly being like eaten by some maze-monster! Only...maybe she
could because they had sort of experienced this in Arithmancy, right? ...Right. And if she'd survived that then she could totally make it through this. Oh and CUE SIGH OF RELIEF! Ella was super happy that her best friend wasn't okay with WASTING her precious gummy worms.
"Thank Merlin you said that, Soph!" Ella said, clutching her bag of gummies tightly.
"I mean...I would have if you thought it was a good idea but I sort of hate wasting these." It just didn't feel right.
"Yeah, of course we'll be alright." And besides, Ella and Soph were smart! And they knew things...about spells...and Ella had been a beater...well for a little while at least so she could like...whack things if necessary. See? SKILLZ. They were SO going to make it through this maze like it was their job.
Walkity. Walk. Walk.
Left or right? Ella frowned slightly and looked in each direction.
"Hold on, let me see." And she closed her eyes, spun on the spot with her right arm stretched out in front of her, pointing her index finger when she stopped.
"That way!"
Yup, highly scientific choice right there.
