There. She was fully recovered from her almost-heart-attack. "I'm alright." Nod. Nod. It was just that this place was- "EXACTLY!" Sophie exclaimed when Ella said it was creepy. The girl cupped her mouth with one of her hands as she still grabbed Ella's arm with the other. "It is very creepy!" She said as low as her friend. "Do you think there are... creatures in here?" Probably not, because it was a cooorn maze. Maybe some crows and stuff, but nothing too dangerous... right?
"Yes!" The fourth year accepted Ella's offer to walk through it together without thinking twice. It wasn't like she would give the blonde another option anyway. "An older Ravenclaw girl that went that way." She pointed to where the girl had disappeared just a few minutes ago. "Maybe it'd be a good idea if we went behind her?" If anything ever happened... there would be an older person around. And a Ravenclaw, which meant smart.
Sounded like a good and safe plan!
So Sophie resumed walking... sloowly. And she didn't let go of Ella's arm either. Nope. What for?? She had to make sure her friend was right next to her.
She'd eaten dirt? BLEGH! Ella felt really bad now.
"Too soon for a Sophie worm comment?" She said quietly, a half-smile on her face. ...Giggle.
"I really am sorry, though. I've just been a bit distracted lately." BLUSH. And Sophie knew
why but they certainly didn't have to discuss it. Nope.
Ella's eyes went a bit wide when Soph got all excited and grabbed her arm. Merlin! She was a jumpy one today, huh? The blonde bit her lip and thought about her bestie's question for a moment before shaking her head.
"I don't think so, I mean not anything dangerous." But she did stick her hand in her pocket and grab her wand, just in case. Constant vigilance and all that.
"If you want we can leave a trail of gummy worms like in that fairy tale! So we can...find out way out in an emergency." Though she secretly hoped Soph declined because wasting gummy worms was just... well it was wrong! And besides, what if they got hungry? Meep!
"Okay good...causeIwassortascaredtodoitalone." No harm in admitting that, right? ...Right. Oh and people were already in the maze? Blink.
"I...yeah, yeah we'll go that way too then." And at least if any monsters were in the maze they'd be able to get a heads up. Blink. That was a really mean thing to think, wasn't it? ...Frown.
Stuck to her best friend, Ella walked on slowly and bit her lip. This was kind of like an adventure, yeah? One that her and Sophie could enjoy and laugh about later? Yup. Seemed like it.
