It sounded familiar. Like, she's heard it before and it didn't belong to any of her roommates' cats. Then she saw it.

It was Freddie's cat Ivy. And she knew the kitten because she, herself, had helped with naming the kitten. Ooooh. Peyton managed to pick the kitty up and beamed at it as if it'd return the gesture.
"What are you doing here? Did..." Noooo... Freddie couldn't be here, could he?
Just as Aurora peeked in, Peyton ran out into the hallway, pushing pass her.
"Out of my way, Freddie is heeeere!" Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!

"Freddie isn't here! I'm just looking after Ivy for him..." Damn now she felt guilty that the girl had got her hopes up.
"The other kittens were beating her up so he asked if I could take care of her..." Most of her little scratches had healed up but she still had a little patch of hair behind her ear that hadn't grown back properly.
