Honestly, Melanie had been expecting Alice to just fold her legs while sitting. Alice had never seemed like the whole cross-legged, hands folded in her lap, type of girl. It made Melanie giggle quietly then she gave the girl a giant hug. Queen Alice was just as important to her as Landon, if not, more. "Well, when I was in America, surely you did something interesting," Melanie pointed out, eating her cookie. Because she hadn't really talked to Queen Alice as much then. She didn't think she did at least.

"America was wonderful. I had a lot of fun. I went to the zoo with Sabrina and Jason... I went to a street fair with my cousin. I hung out a lot with my cousin, Elaine, actually," Melanie said as she nodded her head and thought about it. She had missed her cousin terribly. "I did a lot of shopping, and just had a lot of fun in general," Melanie said, smiling to herself more than anything. She was excited for winter break to come so she could hang out with her parents some more again and just see everyone back home. Though at the moment, she wasn't sure if she'd be staying in London for Christmas again or traveling back home. As an afterthought, Melanie added, "I missed you loads, of course." Always.

She looked at the bat that was indeed very beautiful. She nodded her head in reply to Queen Alice's question. "Shouldn't you have left it in your trunk though?" Melanie asked. Because that was where Dumplings was. Dumplings was in her trunk on the very top of everything else.
