Sierra's heart fell just a bit. She had a broom at home, but she'd never been allowed to bring it. Another year on the school's brooms? ...and this was her last year at that. She nodded and turned away from the broom. She hated that there were second years at the school with their own broom, and here she was a seventh year--using a school broom!
She chose a magazine off the shelf--"Bludgers and Broomsticks," and placed it on the counter with the blunger.
"Thanks, Mom," she said, looking at the things she was able to get today. Maybe she could get a new broom as a graduation present? She looked up at the cashier and waited for her to total the items.
