Melissa watched the interaction between Esme and Emily. She wondered whether Emily was convinced that she wasn't infected...or worse yet...a carrier. Emily did seem to salivate a lot while she 'enjoyed' eating her food, but that wasn't the same as drooling... or was it? Melissa shuddered at the image of Emily eating while drooling at the same time. That image made her tummy turn.

Thank goodness she didn't have to worry about being infected herself. Now that she knew the signs, she could tell that she was in control of her faculties and she was definitely not drooling and walking into walls.

Melissa watched as Emily signed out the evidence before leaving the lab. Her hand was raised partly to wave goodbye to her but when Emily left without acknowledging her, she quickly moved that hand to her head to brush her fingers through her hair not wanting to look stupid.

Melissa cleared her throat and asked,"Is there anything I can do while I'm here, Esme? Or do you want me to go back down and collect more sample evidence?"
