'The de Talone case? That's the one where the kids were in frozen stasis and when they were revived the couldn't remember what was going on. That was when Alyssa was still in Hogwarts.' Melissa thought to herself. She was really glad that her daughter had not been infected. Shaking her head, she listened as the newcomer told Esme that they were about to start interrogating the woman.
'What I would love to be a fly on the interrogation wall right now.' she thought to herself. She was definitely interested to know what that woman did with all that time she had stolen from the children.
Well this one was a bit of a fruit loop ... Emily took a step further away from her, toward Esme.

No doubt just as busy?"
The woman took a few steps into the lab and began scanning the tables. "The de Talone investigation? I thought that was momentarily on hold because of the zombie infestation? I'll try to find what information they do have, but I"m not sure how much I'll be able to give you. The infestation came at a bit of a bad time...."
Esme worked her way towards the fling cabinets, not seeing anything on her cursory glance of the countertops. She pulled open the drawers one by one, pulling out a folder here and there.
"Looks like this is what we have. Listing of evidence, mostly, from the locket and orb that was found, and that of which was found in her Hogsmeade shop. Also seems to have a listing of observations regarding the charming of the orb and also some copies of the letter found in one of the shop's books written to de Talone by an LM who apparently has ties to the States. And a bit of information from the secret lab that was found underneath the shop...quite accidentally."
"Yeah, we need to proceed while we can, with any luck both cases will be resolved in due time." Putting things on hold only made them harder to pick up later. It was all about momentum.
Tagging along with Esme, and steering clear of the fruit loop, Emily listened attentively. It was a shame all the excitement had happened after they'd left...
"Wonderful, this is exactly what we need," she replied, glancing over the documents.
"Mind if I take those off your hands?"
