"Honestly, I won't count that one. It was as if I went to spend time with your mother, and not you." Mordred sighed and sat up again. "How's she? Any improvements?" Meaning, is she still as stubborn as you, Applehead? He was hoping that stealing the picture would help Bee's mother to cope. She was almost convinced that the girl he was with was her daughter.
"Okay. I take that snort as, nothing-happened-because-I'm-boring-and-I'd-rather-stay-in-the-library-to-study-like-a-true-Ravenclaw." Mordred teased as he sat back and folded his arms across his chest. He can go for days teasing Beezus. The Slytherin paused and studied his friend who was happily eating her sugar quill. "So, is it true that you and our captain are dating?" Straight to the point, just like a boss.
Girl thing. It's always...ALWAYS a girl thing.
Fine then, it must be pretty gross and all that.
But then again, a certain question came up to his curious gears. "Okay...so...if you're having this...'IT' day...or is it days?...Um...why...are you all moody? I mean, okay..I get the pain and stuff...but...I see girls get moody without showing sign that their stomach...I mean, abdomen is hurting." Mordred brushed his hair with his fingers and stared at the ground confused. "It's...really weird...it's as if you girls see that everyone in this planet is an idiot." Because yes, he witnessed his mother getting angry and always irritable when she's having her own 'IT' day.
Beezus returned her gaze at the Slytherin and eyed him curiously. A compliment no one should be proud of? But, why not? Ethan was adorable. Hyperactive, yes but he was nice. Unlike Zia. "I beg to differ, Dred. Ethan's a sweetheart. If it's possible, I'd even love for my cousin to be friends with him so she'd develop some manners." Her cousin was such a sarcastic kid. Still looking at him straight in the eyes, the brunette raised an eyebrow at his next words. "Well, I'm sorry. I did not expect
things to happen." Everything went unexpectedly and she was utterly unprepared for it all. That was why she only shrugged when he asked if their were any improvements on her mother's condition. To be honest, she didn't know because she never inquired after their visit. She needed more time....to well, cope up with the shock.
"And by the way, just so you know, I'd always be game when it comes to spending time with you." She lowered her eyebrow and smiled at him, finishing the remains of her sugar quill.
OH! OHOHOHOHO! He did not just call her boring. Just as she sat back up, Beezus opened her mouth to say something but shut it almost instantly then she left her seat, stood up and lunged towards him, poking him on his stomach. "Who's boring, huh?" POKE. "Huh? Huh? Who's boring?" POKE. POKE. POKE. "I'm not boring, you scumbag!" The Ravenclaw giggled, punching him slightly on the shoulder before retreating to the space beside him. And then she froze at his next question. How did he know about that? *BLINK* "I...errr..." She couldn't hide anything from him. If there was one person she would divulge all her secrets to, it would be him. Not Erin. Not even Indy. But Mordred. What can she do? She trusted him and he'd proved himself worthy of that trust. "Yes, it's true." There you go. A straight answer to his straight-to-the-point question.
UGH.
Seriously? They were talking about "it"? Why did he have to be so curious? Beezus scrunched her face into a frown, staring, almost gawking at his face while his eyes were on the floor. "Orangefeet, you're too curious for your own good, you know that?" Heh. Not really. She just didn't know how to explain these kind of things to him. It was awkward and she did not want them to be awkward. "It's basically due to a lot of things. But to put it simply, our hormones are all over the place Mordred." Beezus nodded matter-of-factly. "And it's not weird. All you guys," Yes, you. Insensitive boys who lack common sense, "..are idiots in nature anyway." She remarked with a giggle.
Were the mood swings too obvious? Because she was starting to notice it now. Gah. She sounded so ridiculous.
