But yeah, poor woman she lost her plant and her brooch all in her first year as a headmistress… it felt like the two redheads connected in that way.
A nice last term. She had to grin, with sad eyes at that. "I don't think 'nice' is one of the words I'd use." Her first year was nice. "It was challenging, adventurous and lived up to my expectations of being a very unique term." Which beat nice in her book. "It's all right..." Anastasia eyed the brooch and flipped a hand dismissively. She'd rather have the plant AND Marion, or at least one of the two, instead of the brooch but alas. You can't always get what you want. At least she had the thing back....
Aww the girl didn't have a nice last term... then again, when was ANYTHING at Hogwarts nice? Hah. "Well, I'm sure it will be something you never forget." She reached out and gently patted the girl's hand, having grown fond of her over the course of the term and all its...events, and then turned her attention to the black-clad THING headed their way. A tiny gasp escaped her lips and she pressed a hand to her chest. "Madame Truebrudge, is that...the brooch? You intend to incinerate that, correct?" Callie knew the spectre that had inhabited it was gone but the aura was still bad. Bad, BAD. ...WHAT in the name of MERLIN was Elwood wearing??! Was she mourning a late husband? How DARE she COSTUMIZE Marion's and... shoot what was his name Tristan's...deaths! Like they were COMICAL! Something to DRESS UP FOR! SOMETHING to wear velvet gloves to!
Her lips pursed, her eyes in a cold, dead glare, Anastasia stared Callie down as she stole away the Head Girl. She shook her head from left to right at the woman's question and sniped, "Of COURSE I intend to destroy it, as soon as I am to a safe location outside Hogwarts' boundaries! I also intend to destroy that hideous get-up you're wearing!"
The blonde likely wouldn't hear that last bit... but who cared if Louisa did, she was graduating, after all... Quote:

He made it to HIS seat to the right of the headmistress and plopped down. "I'm not a fan of the decor, Annie," he grumbled. "Blue. The color must be blue . . . and bronze. Not bleh!" Annie sighed, more frustrated than ever at the amount of staff she would be replacing come term's end, and turned back to her left, where Vindictus had just sat down... had just sat down for the last time, actually...
"I'm sorry you're late," she muttered to him, not at all sounding sorry as she flicked her gaze up and toward the Hufflepuff banners. "But they were blue before you got here. Whoever just put in the last points must have set off the change..."
Not that she was complaining. The badgers had done a nice job, really, winning both Quidditch and the House Cup. Shame it was Max's last term... speaking of, she'd be needing to do the speech soon. Annie reached for her water goblet to refresh her palette, only to find that... it wasn't there....
"I think the ghosts are pulling something on me again," she whispered loudly to the deputy headmaster, "my cup is missing!" Quote:

She leaned in slightly with what could be interpreted as giving a small bow. Maybe she was indeed bowing! Since no hugs were encouraged. "I want you to know that I did my best." Even if she made mistakes and had her own way of helping the youngsters as in lying to firsties about magical anti-cooties colognes.
She wanted to say something to ALL the professors... but maybe that should wait until after the feast.. and after she got her diploma. It would make more sense. "Oh," the headmistress was once again distracted by the young lady leader, "I...am glad I chose you! You are very welcome, dear, and I happen to think you did a great job." She gave her a genuine smile now. "If you ever need a letter of recommendation, a reference, anything... you just see me. All right?"
