She made sure to spend a considerable amount of time visiting all of her favorite spots like the Room of Requirement, the mirror on the fourth floor, the barns, quidditch pitch, and of course the lake. Now though, it was time for the closing feast, and so Em headed over to the Hufflepuff table and sat among those already gathered there. She sat there quietly looking down at the table drawing pictures with her fingers.
This was just as good a time as any for her to start making her rounds. With the exception of the Claw table she was going to go find the 7th years that were abandoning her. Of course she would put on a brave face first because she refused to cry any more. It wasn't making anything any better and it wasn't going to make the stay.
When she got to the Puffer table she spotted Emm almost immediately. Wait...she didn't seem very happy at all... Lex plopped down in the empty seat next to her and tried forcing on a smile of encouragement even though she didn't know what was wrong with her...yet.
"Hiya...you alright...?" For now she would put aside her very selfish feelings of wanting them all to stay just so she could make one of the ones she cared about feel better.
"I mean...you're the one leaving me behind, I should be looking sadder than you!" And she would've if she hadn't decided not to mope around any more. For now she'd tough it out and she knew Emm could do the same.
