The girl knew most of her friends would be sad that night, because apparently that was how most people felt during the End of Term Feast. Sophie never felt that way and she actually knew she wouldn't be sad at all that night.

SHE WAS GOING TO SEE HER PARENTSSSSS SOON!! Woooooooo!!!

"Alec!!" Sophie exclaimed cheerfully when she spotted her friend sitting by himself. They were both pretty early, it seemed. Not a problem! "Nice term, this has been, right??" She asked grinning as she sat down next to him.

Looking around, she smiled some more at their house colours being all beautified by the sunset.

Loneliness sucks.

Really. This was the End of Term feast and even if he had wanted to be alone these past couple of days, he didn't really like the idea of being all alone now. Nope. Especially not with the way he'd felt pretty alone for parts of this past school year. Yeah... he didn't like that at all.

But... summer. He'd get to see his Dad again! That was always AWESOME. And... he had a LOT to catch that man up on. Like the fact that he'd helped to win the Quidditch Cup again. And that Top Seeker award? That would be worth mentioning as well. OH! And he'd have to tell his Dad ALL about Pao because... well... you have to mention your friends right? Yeah.

And speaking of friends... "Sophs!" Boy was he glad to see her! ... They... hadn't really hung out much over the past year, had they? No. That had to be changed at some point. And her question about the term? Had it been nice? "Yeah! It was awesome!" You know, apart from a man eating plant being set loose and that weird... ghost thing... But it had been a good term. "Erm... I... I heard about you and Oakster so... congrats!" GRIN.

SPOILER!!: Ells!

It also meant the she’d get to sit with her best friends and have one last meal before they all went their separate ways for the summer. …But people were leaving… Very important people… And Ella Bishop did not do well with goodbyes.

After crying all morning and avoiding things, the third year dried her eyes and got ready to go. She even put on a smile because the blonde refused to make any of the graduating students feel any worse than they might already be feeling. Deep breath. She could do this.

Plopping down at the Hufflepuff table, Ella chewed on her lip as she placed the gift she had got for Max under the table. She wasn’t even sure she was ready to give it to him truthfully, knowing she was going to lose it as soon as he started opening the box. Meep. Why did this have to be so hard?

Her green eyes then found the staff table, noting the empty seats of those Professors who had been…Gulp. She closed her eyes and looked quickly away. That kind of stuff was stuff she didn’t care to remember about this term.

Oh! And Alec was here…she hadn’t even seen him. The third year smiled over at her friend and scooted down a bit so she was sitting across from him, making sure to take the gift with her. “H-hey Hair Whipper.” She said as cheerfully as she could. “Ready for summer?”

And Soph was here too? When had she arrived? Ella waved her friend over as she wanted her people right now. That would make this much easier. "Hi Sophie!"

And then came another one of his friends.

And Alec just grinned at the mere sight of the girl. Even if the girl had been a cause of all sorts of confusing and weird feelings this past year. Ones he didn't really understand too much but... well... as long as it didn't hurt anyone, right? ... Yeah, he needed to have a proper guy conversation about all of this stuff sometime soon. He was too confused.

But the girl? Alec tilted his head to the side. She seemed... sad. That wasn't good. But at least she greeted him with the nickname that only she seemed to refer to him by. That... made him feel slightly better. Even if he did not like seeing the girl anything close to sad. "Ells?" he asked, "Erm... I... you okay?"

Oh! Her question! "Yeah!" GRIN. "Summer is going to be awesome!" And... well... hopefully, they'd get the chance to hang out over the summer. You know, if Ells wanted to. "Erm... are you ready for summer?" Or ready for their fourth year at Hogwarts? ... Fourth year... he was almost one of the cool, older guys he'd looked up to when he was a first year. Now he needed to work on the 'cool' bit.

SPOILER!!: Minnie!

They had made such a come back in points, they won the quidditch cup, she was dating Ethan those were all fantastic things, but then thinking about all the exhaustion from classes, being locked out of the common room, and that.. that plant she was ready to be away for a bit.

As she made her way towards the table she smiled at the three already there, "Hey Alec, Sophie, Ella, hope your all doing well tonight. Can't believe it's feast time already." No she really couldn't believe the feast was here. Sitting down she glanced around the room. She didn't see Ethan at the Claw table yet, but then her eyes hit the staff table and the empty two seats and she had to take a deep breath. She had thought about a small ribbon on her robes in their honor, but wasn't sure if it was allowed, so she decided to just think nice things about them instead. Turning back to her little group she tried to keep with conversation. "So any big plans for the summer? My little brother better be wanting to write me..." She eyed Alec and then laughed a bit.

A greeting made Alec turn his head upwards and away from the blonde haired girl sitting across from him. And then a huge grin spread across his young face. "Minnie!" he said, reaching over to give the older girl a hug. No matter what, he was always happy to see his older sister. Unless... she was sad. But then he'd go to get ice cream for her and try and make her feel better and then... it was all okay!

ICE CREAM! GRIN GRIN GRIN.

"Yeah... the feast did come around pretty quickly," he said, looking over at the wall on the other side of the Hall. It was weird, actually, how fast this year had gone by. It seemed as if yesterday, he was just wandering through the doors of the Great Hall after his very first Portkey encounter and now... "Have you had an awesome year, Min?"

The girl... was looking... somewhere. Alec followed her gaze and found himself looking towards the Staff Table. Oh. Empty seats. That... wasn't good. And even if Flying Man was scary and... well... a little weird, Alec didn't like the fact that he was leaving. Couldn't he... stay? Forever? ... No? Because... well... Quidditch wouldn't be the same, would it? Just like it wasn't same without Keefer, even if he was liking the new little Keeper they had this year. Holy Superman, Pao was FAST.

At Minnie's question, Alec turned his head back to the older girl and let out a chuckle. "Yeah! I'll write all the time!" Although, he had a funny feeling his Dad would grow suspicious as to why he was spending so much time in his room writing letters. But... his Dad did like Minnie so it was okay. "Erm... I'm just hanging out with Dad and... well... friends! And you?"

Alec's eyes wandered back to the doors of the Great Hall, wandering if more people were going to make their way to the feast. Because... well... it was still fairly empty. People did want to come to the feast, right? There was FOOD here! And... it was a bit sad, yeah but... food? A chance to say goodbye? Yeah.

Alec's eyes landed on one girl in particular who... was making her way towards the Puff table. He was sure he had seen this girl around before. Maybe the Hufflepuff common room? Yeah, probably. Although, he was pretty sure that he hadn't talked to her before. Not properly, anyways, because if he had, he'd know her, right? Yeah...

"Erm... hey!" he said, smiling at the girl, "You excited for the summer?" Summer was AWESOME. And it made up most of his surname. But it was still AWESOME.

Speaking of, she spotted Alec and Minnie, new friends that she had made this year and skipped over to them.

She ruffled Alec's hair and waved to Minnie, "Hey guys! Great job in Quidditch, Alec. Congratulations on your Seeker award!"

Ruffle, ruffle, ruffle...

Alec's face split into a grin as someone ruffled his hair. He liked that. Hair ruffles. It meant that someone liked his hair, yeah? And he liked that because... well... he prized on how his hair looked. Yeah. Messy could call it weird and girly but... it wasn't. Hair was important. Yep.

And the hair ruffler? Alec turned his head to look at the girl who had just come up and greeted him and Minnie. "Awar! Hey!" GRIN. ... And... she was congratulating him? For Quidditch? Alec grinned some more, feeling a sense of pride and joy filling up inside of him. "Thanks Awar! Erm... I didn't expect the award," Mainly because he had played one less game than Aidan. "But... thanks!" GRIN GRIN GRIN.

... Oh! Right! The girl had just finished her first ever year at Hogwarts right? "So... erm... how was your first year here?" he asked, resting his elbows on the table and smiling a little. He kind of wished he could go back to his first year and do things over again. Or, well, his second year. Because his first year was AWESOME.

SPOILER!!: Oakster!

That would require approaching Valentine and getting lots of cuts and scratches though.

As he moved to his table he looked at some of the faces that were already seated. Alec the champion seeker, Ella, Minerva, and there was Sophie. Oakey took his rightful place beside her and smiled."Heya guys." Oakey greeted them collectively. "I hope you're summers are gonna be great."
Then he turned completely facing Sophie."I wrote to Granny Gunter about you, and she says she could use another lady around the house" He gave a faint smile.

There were... a lot of girls here, weren't there? Where were all the Hufflepuff guys? ... Apart from himself. Because... well... he liked girls, really he did, but... Hufflepuff seemed to have a lot of them. And that made him slightly nervous for some reason. Wait, Hogwarts had a lot of girls, didn't it? Yeah. This... confused him slightly.

Wait... OAKSTER!

Alec grinned at the Beater, slightly glad that there was a male presence here. Although... he had a funny feeling he'd want to spend time with his, Oakey's, favourite girl. "Hey!" No health drinks? Awesome! "Erm... yours too, mate! You excited for the summer?"

Summer! GRIN GRIN GRIN.

FROWN.

No one should be sitting alone... Never ever ever. Especially not at an end of term feast. There was plenty of time over the summer for people to be alone... right? No. He still wanted to meet up with his friends over the summer, whether he talked to them a lot or not.

Except... now she was joined by some older guy Alec had never met before. That... wasn't going to stop him though. Older guy was probably awesome, anyways. And it was probably a good thing Laura had someone to talk to... yeah? Yeah. But... "Erm... Laura?" he called, waving at her, "You okay?" The popular question about the summer will be asked later. Nodnod.

SPOILER!!: Violet!

Not only that, in these next couple of months there was going to be something very important happening in Miss Violet Le Veela's life, aside from a very exciting birthday celebration (HINT HINT) comning, but a very important audition that could very well change Violet's life. Aside from the stress of preparing for her audition, Violet was going to try and keep her mind level-headed so that it wouldn't affect for her audition..Her audition for the Academy of Magical Arts in Galway, Ireland for Ballet!

She had already prepared what she song she would be performing to, and she had already begun to figure out what she'd like to do during that song, but she knew...that it had to perfect. Especially since the Dean of the Academy had come to recruit Violet over the holidays when she was home. So she felt that she definitely had to impress these people, and it was rather nerve-wracking! But again, that was something she didn't have to fully worry about...at least not for the moment.

...

Violet looked around the Great Hall smiling so brightly as she made her way towards the Hufflepuff table of golden yellow and black! She waved at everyone as she passed and squealed at a couple of her favorite underclassmen including Ella & Alec! "ELLY BEAN!" she hugged the younger blonde giving her luff and then she said,"Hello Alec!" giving him a hug as well with the same amount of luff given to her Elly Bean!

When she was going to sit beside Ella, a girl with red hair not too far from everyone had caught Violet's eye and she looked at her for a moment, noticing her tracing something with her fingers. She walked up to the girl, who looked like she was a little older than Violet and smiled politely saying,"Hello! Do you mind if I sit with you?"

Violet had to be one of the most easily excitable people he knew. Or... well... he kind of knew. The two hadn't really talked that much, had they? That was something he'd have to make a note to change next term. Because... it would be Violet's last year at Hogwarts, right?

... Oh. That was sad.

Alec shook his head and then grinned widely as the girl greeted Ells first and then... turned to him. And... and... she was giving him a hug? CUE MAJOR WIDE GRIN FACE. ... Because hugs were awesome. And according to Ells, he gave nice hugs. Or... well... that's what she had said one time, right? And that's why he was given that super awesome superpower!

But Violet. "Hey Violet!" he said, hugging the older girl back, "You ready for the summer?" GRIN GRIN GRIN.

SPOILER!!: Belle!

Now Belle had to think of her seventh year. What will she do after hogwarts? Belle did not know yet. She did not want to think out it. But she had the internship to look forward to. As Belle was lost in her thoughts, she saw all her friends sitting at the table.

As Belle saw Alec, Belle wanted to say goodbye to him before he left this year. As Belle made her way towards Alec, Belle tapped him and said, "Hey you! How was your year?" as she hugged him tightly. She was going to miss this little boy. Well he was not little anymore, he was growing up into an adult.

A small tap on his shoulder made Alec turn his head... and GRIN at the older girl standing near him. Belle! Their awesome Lady Prefect! Who... he had grown to become quite close to over the past year. Which was awesome, of course! Because the girl was really awesome and she gave great hugs!

... And... speaking of hugs, Alec reached over and hugged her. Because... that's how they tended to greet each other, didn't they? Yeah. And hugs were AWESOME! "Belle! Hey!" he said, grinning widely at the girl. She... wasn't leaving anytime soon, yeah? Right? He hoped not! That... well... that would be really sad if she did.

Shaking his head, Alec focused his attention back on the Prefect. His year? He... didn't really know how to answer that, actually. "It was... pretty awesome, yeah!" You know, apart from confused feelings and... other things. "Erm...well... we won the Quidditch Cup! Which is awesome!" And he was Top Seeker! GRIN GRIN GRIN. "And... yeah! It's been an awesome year. How was yours?"

SPOILER!!: Bliss!

Bliss would never forget her, ever. After all, she'd helped Bliss when she'd broken her wrist after the ride down in the Hogwarts Express. Then there was Arabella, one of Bliss' first friends and she was a VERY sweet person.

Don't think sad things, Bliss.

Too late.

Taking a deep breath, Bliss headed towards her friends and sat down beside them. Putting on a face and wiping away a few tears, she BEAMed. "Hey everyone," she said, looking around everyone.

It was probably weird but now that Alec was looking around the Hall... he was starting to realise just how packed it was becoming. Which... was good, yeah. He was still pretty surprised he had come down to the feast so early, actually. But... people were here now so all of that loneliness he had experienced for a brief moment before didn't really matter now.

...

And then came another blonde haired girl he knew very well.

Alec grinned as Bliss wandered up to the group and greeted everyone in general. But... she... wasn't sad, right? Frown. He didn't like it when people were sad. Especially awesome people. And... people he knew. And people in general. ... Had he already thought that?

"Hey Bliss!" he said, smiling at the girl, "Erm... you okay? Excited for the summer?"

SPOILER!!: Alex! ... And not 'Alec', good grief. >.<

He headed to the Hufflepuff table a little late, and the only open seat he could see was next to Bliss, the little second year he'd met while playing Quidditch. He smiled as he plopped down next to her. "Hey Bliss! How's it going?" he asked. He turned to the rest of the table and grinned.

"Hey everyone! Great job this term...we were SO close," he said with a small sigh, looking back at the hourglasses. Damn. Just a fewwwww points away from that house cup again.

Another dude!

Alec grinned at Alex, glad that the awesome Chaser dude had decided to join them. Because... well... there were a lot of girls here. And an even balance was usually... good. Yeah. Except... there were still quite a few girls here.

... And cue hair ruffle.

And now Alex was congratulatig them on doing a good job and... Alec looked down, slightly ashamed. He had over a 100 points this term, which was better than last term but... he wasn't really an overly perfectionist about things like classes and homework. He just liked to get things done and not worry about the number of points he had received. And the fact that he got fifteen points just for catching Snitches... well... he wasn't going to complain. Points were points.

But... he was going to pay more attention next term, yeah? YEAH.

But back to Alex. "Erm... hey!" GRIN. Why? Because he was talking to a cool, older dude! Like... like Treyen and Keefer. "Erm... thanks! Great job to you too!" He had earned LOTS of points this term, right? Nodnod. "Erm... so... are you excited about the summer, Alex?"

With her head still a little sore from a quidditch practice injuiry the one that stopped her from playing in the final match, the fifth year had to force herself a little before heading down to the great hall. She knew she had to be there though, especially with one of her closest of friends leaving Hogwarts forever. Not to mention she had to check that a special present would be delivered soon and of course she wanted to see her housemates too.

Pouting, the red head took her seat and placed her pygmy puff, that she had brought with, on the seat beside her. She looked around her table once and then turned around to look at the Gryffindor table where she tried to spot two certain people. No sign of them yet though, so for now she would wait. "Hey guys." She greeted some of the badgers around her.

The greeting of yet another Hufflepuff made Alec grin EXTRA SUPER WIDELY. Why?

... Well...

"Captain Loch Nessie!" ... Was that too much excitement? "Erm... I... how are you feeling?" He hoped she was feeling okay after what had happened after Quidditch Practice. That was... sad. And unfortunate. And... he had a funny feeling that Bliss was, well, blaming herself for it. Just a bit. Even... if it was just an accident. Yeah.

OH! And... well... Nessie knew what happened, right? Down at the pitch? She had been told, yeah? GRIN GRIN GRIN. ... And... what made him grin even more was that she had her pygmy puff with her as well. Yeah... he had missed this older sister of his.

"Mind if I join you?" the Slytherin asked, smiling kindly at a few Hufflepuffs but focusing on Bliss mainly, whom he knew would be unable to refuse. "I don't bite, I promise" he chuckled. Blissy would be able to back him up on that right?

He hoped.

D:

He stood around for a little while whilst he waited for a response and hoped that others might start to talk to him, even if the term was about to end, it was never too late to make friends. He decided not to sit down yet instead anyone else felt uncomfortable with him being there.

Alec watched as someone else joined the growing group of Hufflepuffs at the yellow table. Another awesome dude! Who wasn't a Hufflepuff. And that was just as awesome! Because... well... it meant that people from the other houses liked them and wanted to talk to them, right? Yeah.

"Hey Terry!" This was another person he had wished he had gotten closer to over the past year. Because apart from knowing that Terry was smart, Alec didn't really know much about the guy. Oh! And he was a Slytherin! And he was Bliss's best friend so... well... yeah. But... they didn't know each other properly. Not really. And that was SAD.

"Erm... so... are you excited for the holidays?" he asked, smiling at the guy. And... he would have said whether it was okay with him if the guy sat at their table but Terry had already sat down. Which made Alec grin more. The more the merrier, right?

So she decided on the Hufflepuff table. A hand went to the little flower in her hair and the other smoothed her wrinkly shirt that usually was dumped on the floor at the end of the day.

She could get her mom to clean it. Then lock it up over the Summer.

SUMMER TIME.

Anyway, the soon-to-be third year strolled towards the Puffer table and beamed at all it's inhabitants. "HELLO HUFFLEPUFFS AND PUFF FRIENDS." Make way for the best beater in the school! Hey was that - "HAI TERRY!" Blue waved at him. Why wasn't he sitting down? Ah well. The Hufflepuffs would surely be glad to have her company. The girl sat down by whoever. And played with a spoon.

How you may ask?

We'll never know.

Then they were joined by another person who didn't usually sit at their table. And Alec grinned. This was AWESOME.

... And the girl seemed really... happy about... something. Alec had a funny feeling he knew what it was about but... he just couldn't... remember...

...

OH THAT'S RIGHT. "Bluetiful!" GRIN. "Erm... congrats on your award!" He knew the girl was really scary with her bat. Although... this was something he'd keep to himself. "Erm... I... are you excited about the summer?" Because summer meant ICE CREAM. And nice weather. And and and... seeing family and friends. AWESOME.

She made sure to spend a considerable amount of time visiting all of her favorite spots like the Room of Requirement, the mirror on the fourth floor, the barns, quidditch pitch, and of course the lake. Now though, it was time for the closing feast, and so Em headed over to the Hufflepuff table and sat among those already gathered there. She was going to enjoy her last day with her badgers, even if she didn’t know most of them that well. Turning back to the girl, she smiled once more. “So I guess you’re a seventh year now, huh?” Right?

Turning to the other Emmaleigh smiled at those around her. “Hey Baby Badger, Alec, Guys.” Seeing the little Ravenclaw girl come over, Em smiled at her as well. “Hey, you’re Blue right? Congrats on being awarded the best beater award.”
[/SPOILER]

And then... everything became super sad. Mainly because of the sight of one person looking sad.

Alec blinked several times as he looked at the older girl who seemed to be particularly interested in the table before... greeting everyone. It must be sad, right? To grow so attached to a place and all the people there. To become so familiar with even the dustiest corners of a place as time passed and then... to leave. Never to come back again. That was really sad.

The fourteen year old felt kind of sorry for the older girl, even if he didn't really know her properly. And he kind of regretted that as well. "Hey Em!" he said, smiling a little at the seventh year, "Erm... I... you'll be missed." Nodnod.

...

Talk about something happier, Summers! "Erm... so... are you excited about the summer?" ... He was not good at this.
