Leobald entered the Great Hall through the door behind the staff dais. He was dressed for the feast in dark navy robes, but he wasn't exactly in a party mood. He had spent most off his afternoon cleaning and restoring the bookshelves to how they had looked before the fire. The floor of the library was now clean, but the bookcases were scarred and black in some places, and the shelves were gaping empty. Where there had been books just the other day there was now just charcoaled remains of books or ashes and dust.
He slid into his seat next to Gemma with a small sigh. "Evening, Gemma." Leobald greeted. "You look lovely tonight." he complimented her attire. Leo waved to the Headmistress and the Head Girl before busying himself with pouring himself some water.
Gemma glanced up to see her neighbor joining the party, "
Thank you Leobald...you don't look too bad yourself..." she said with a wink. She took a quick drink and then asked, "
I've been thinking about you..." she said realizing how odd that sounded and then she quickly continued, "
you know since the fire and all...how is everything in the ol' book room? Is everything salvageable?" she asked intently.
