Nopppeee.
It didn't look like he could. She raised an eyebrow. "I mean. It's sort of... a mutual hate...if you ask her about me she'll say the same thing. Mostly it's because I'm not that nice," she smirked, raising her hand to brush some of her hair behind her ear. "She and I..we just don't see eye to eye..." she shrugged. That was reason enough to hate someone, right? People always said hate was a strong word. But Elliot hated lots of things. Her father's tendencies, her mother's...bleghness, her brother's existence...being home...she hated hufflepuffs just as a general rule. But did she hate Laura? MEh. Maybe she didn't HATE Laura. Just disliked her. Because honestly, if Elliot wasn't so proud, and Laura, too, they just might be friends. Both very strong independent girls. But Elliot...just too much history for her to ever like Laura, really.
"But she's your girlfriend..you obviously see..something in her." She shrugged. She could understand that. People often told Max that he was dating an evil psycho...but he swore left and right how deep down, maybe Elliot was good.
Meh.
It didn't matter to Elliot either way.
Complications have sprung up out of nowhere and Mick felt unprotected. He didn't know if he should be worried or not, then again, he doesn't know much about these sort of things. This, especially, was something that he didn't know if he could just
shrug off. He didn't have any real problem with Elliot, but what can a person do when someone just plain doesn't like his girlfriend? And what would Laura say about Mick being friends (?) with Elliot?
I should probably ask Ellie if I'm allowed to think of myself as her friend? Can I call her Ellie, as well? Would she mind? Nah, I'm sure she won't.
No matter...maybe he could get them to settle whatever it is that stands between them. Poor naive Michael...The same kind of naivety that gets him into trouble. And just like, whatever visible confusion he had just melted away as he smiled and glanced at Elliot. Geez, people from space can see the hopefulness in his blue eyes. He was thinking of a plan. "Ellie? Is there anyway you two could be friends?
Anyway at all?" he kindly asked.
