| Post 2 Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict Still in her headlong rush down the pathways of the maze, Kendall kept turning her head back to check and make sure that the acromantula wasn't coming after her. Now that she'd gotten past it, she couldn't help but think that she would've gone after anyone who had shot spells at her eyes. She was afraid to try and direct her wandlight behind her, but by now her eyesight had adjusted more to the dark, so she was fairly sure that the creature wasn't chasing after her. It was still awfully dark, but the acromantula had been giant. She didn't think she would have missed it again. Hopefully not, she thought, continuing to run even as she checked over her shoulder one last time.
Turning right again, she let out another screech blended with a string of practically unintelligible Gaelic as she suddenly slammed into something else right in front of her. Trying to turn her face forward again, she was met with a mass of branches and leaves and squeezed her eyes shut. She definitely didn't want to accidentally scratch her eyeballs up, like she was her arms as she struggled to extract herself. Apparently she'd found a dead end, unless she was supposed to climb over the hedge. She figured it was better to turn back and take another pathway, though. At least now she was fairly sure the acromantula hadn't followed her, and she carefully turned around and headed back to the last corner, turning to her right again. Since left would just take her back toward the acromantula, now that she was facing the opposite direction, and she started walking slower, wandlight held out in front of herself. She didn't want to end up slamming into anything else.
